Why I am supporting the OHS Doggie Dash

If you are like me, your pets are a very important part of your life. You may have adopted your pet from the Oregon Humane Society. If not, you probably know someone who did. Not all pets are as lucky as ours. Some are abandoned right from the start. Others are neglected or abused.

That’s why I’m participating in the OHS Doggie Dash. Thousands of people will come to Portland's Waterfront Park for this two-mile run/walk (to learn more about this event, visit the Doggie Dash Web page). The money raised will help OHS meet its goal of finding happy endings for 10,000 animals in 2009. That means 10,000 animals will get a new chance in life with permanent, loving families.
